This Privacy Policy describes how the Craftsman Painter Collective ("the Collective," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use "Brush App - Deals" (the "App"), a Google Workspace Add-on provided exclusively to members of the Craftsman Painter Collective.

By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

1. Introduction

The Brush App - Deals is designed to provide exclusive deals and resources to active members of the Craftsman Painter Collective within their Google Workspace environment. This Privacy Policy explains what information the Collective processes through the App, how we use it, and your choices regarding your information.

Please note that as a Google Workspace Add-on, the App operates within the Google Workspace platform. Your use of Google Workspace services (including Gmail, Google Drive, etc.) is also subject to Google's own terms of service and privacy policies, which we encourage you to review.

2. Information We Collect

The information we collect through the App is primarily for the purpose of providing, maintaining, and improving the App's functionality and ensuring access for legitimate Collective members.

a. Information You Provide Directly (if applicable):

The App is designed to be primarily a content delivery tool. Currently, the App does not directly collect personal information that you manually input into the App's interface (e.g., names, addresses, payment information). Should future versions of the App introduce features that require direct input, this section will be updated accordingly.

b. Information Collected Automatically via Google Workspace:

When you access or use the App, it interacts with your Google Workspace environment. This interaction may allow us to access certain limited information from your Google account, strictly based on the permissions you grant the Add-on and the functionality required. This may include:

• Your Google User ID and Email Address: Used to identify you as a member of the Craftsman Painter Collective and verify your active membership status. This is essential for providing you access to the App's features.
• Access to specific Google Workspace data (if required for app functionality): Depending on the exact features of the "Deals" app, it might require access to certain Google Workspace data (e.g., if deals are linked to calendar events, specific documents, or email correspondence related to deals). Currently, the "Brush App - Deals" is designed to be a content delivery and display tool and generally does not require broad access to your emails, documents, or personal data within Google Workspace beyond your basic user identification for membership verification. If the App's functionality expands to require access to additional Google Workspace data, this Privacy Policy will be updated, and you will be prompted to re-authorize these permissions.

c. Usage Data:

We may also collect information that your browser sends whenever you visit our App or when you access the App by or through a mobile device ("Usage Data"). This1 Usage Data may include information such as your computer's Internet Protocol address (e.g., IP address), browser type, browser version, the pages of our App that you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages, unique device identifiers, and other diagnostic data. This data2 is typically aggregated and anonymized for analytics purposes.

3. How We Use Your Information

The Collective uses the collected data for various purposes:

• To Provide and Maintain the App: To operate, deliver, and ensure the functionality of the Brush App - Deals.
• To Manage Your Membership: To verify your active membership with the Craftsman Painter Collective and ensure only authorized members can access the App.
• To Personalize Your Experience: To display relevant deals and content based on your membership status or preferences (if such features are introduced).
• To Monitor Usage and Improve the App: To analyze how the App is used, identify technical issues, and make improvements to its features and performance.
• To Communicate with You: To send you updates, technical notices, security alerts, and support messages related to the App or your Collective membership.
• For Internal Analytics: To understand trends and patterns of App usage by the Collective's membership.

4. How We Share Your Information

The Collective values your privacy and will only share your information in limited circumstances:

• With Your Consent: We may share your information with your explicit consent or at your direction.
• Within the Craftsman Painter Collective: Your information may be shared among relevant personnel within the Collective for the purpose of providing and managing the App and your membership.
• Service Providers: We may employ third-party companies and individuals to facilitate our App ("Service Providers") to provide the App on our behalf,³ perform App-related services, or assist us in analyzing how our App is used. These third parties⁴ have access to your information only to perform these tasks on our behalf and are obligated not to disclose or use it for⁵ any other purpose. (e.g., Google as the host platform for the add-on).
• Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information where required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities (e.g., a court or a government agency).⁶
• Business Transfers: In the event that⁷ the Craftsman Painter Collective undergoes a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as a business asset. We will provide notice before your information is transferred and becomes subject to a different Privacy Policy.

Important Note on Google Workspace Data: The Brush App - Deals operates within the Google Workspace environment. Google's own policies and infrastructure govern the security and privacy of the underlying data within your Google account. The App only accesses data within the scope of permissions you explicitly grant when installing it, and this access is controlled by Google's authorization framework. We do not store your Google account credentials.

5. Data Retention

We retain the information collected through the App for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy, to maintain your active membership with the Collective, and to comply with our legal obligations. Once your membership with the Collective ceases, we will endeavor to delete or anonymize your App-related data that is within our direct control, unless retention is required or permitted by law.

6. Data Security

The Collective is committed to protecting the security of your information. We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction of your information. However, no method of transmission over the⁸ Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.⁹

7. Your Data Protection Rights

As a member of the Craftsman Painter Collective, you have certain rights regarding your personal information. Depending on applicable laws, these may include the right to:

• Access: Request access to the personal information we hold about you.

• Erasure: Request deletion of your personal information, subject¹¹ to certain exceptions.

Our App is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally¹⁴ identifiable information from anyone under the age of 13. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from children without verification of parental consent, we take steps to remove that information from our servers.¹⁵

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Effective Date" at the top of this Privacy Policy.
