Brothers in Business
Torlando Hakes and Myles Stephney are brothers and business partners who have been serving the central Indiana area with their painting expertise for over 20 years. They are the co-founders of the Craftsman Painter Collective, based in Bloomington, IN, and specialize in interior painting, cabinet painting, and color design.
Torlando, a graduate of Indiana University's Eskenazi School of Art, Architecture + Design and an IU Kelley MBA, has been in the painting industry for 20 years. He works with clients to get quotes, plan their project, and select colors.
Myles, a Bloomington High School South graduate, began his apprenticeship at 16 years old, training under Torlando. With 8 years of experience, Myles is an excellent crew leader and craftsman specializing in cabinet painting and interior brushwork. He works with clients directly to perform and guide the painting work and ensure quality assurance.
Central to our team culture are our share values. These values are the things that help our customers have great experiences with us, and we only hire crew members who live up to these values.
Our mission is to make a difference in the lives of our customers, community of craftsmen, and our local neighborhoods. Making a difference means paying fair wages to our crew so they can better serve you.
